Master of Wine, Clive Barlow, has been in the wine industry for over 30 years. His career in wine began when working on a Hampshire vineyard and he has watched the growth in English and Kent wine with great interest. Today he is the buyer for Corkk, a Canterbury-based English wine retail specialist, a founder of the Canterbury Wine Festival, runs Canterbury Wine School and judges in International Wine competitions.
Produced in Kent has long championed the wines of Kent and is the sole competition for Kent winemakers to shine amongst their peers. When judging wine I always look first for harmony and intensity, secondly, expression of the grape variety or region and finally the hedonistic pleasure given by the wine.
