Who should enter? Any Kent food or drink business that has demonstrated genuine innovation or transformation in the way they operate. This isn't about a single product - it's about whole-business innovation. Whether you've overhauled your operations, invested in new technology or manufacturing capability, developed a more sustainable supply chain, or pioneered a new approach to your sector, we want to hear about it.

This category is open to farmers, growers, producers, manufacturers, processors, retailers and hospitality businesses based in Kent.

How will this category be judged? Entrants submit a detailed written entry covering their innovation, the impact it has had on their business, and the evidence behind it. Submissions are assessed by a panel of expert judges who produce a shortlist of finalists. Finalists are then invited to a 1-2-1 interview with the judging panel.

Judging criteria: Evidence of innovation, the scale and impact of change, environmental sustainability, responsible business management, community engagement and proof of strong working relationships across the supply chain.
