Who should enter? Any Kent food or drink producer with a product that pushes boundaries and does something genuinely new. This category celebrates innovation in its broadest sense - whether that's a breakthrough ingredient, a sustainable production process, a plant-based or alternative format, a bold new product development, or a distinctive market positioning that others haven't tried before. If you've done something different and done it well, we want to see it.
How will this category be judged? Entries are assessed by a panel of expert judges on both the product itself and the story behind it. Judges will taste the product and review the innovation credentials of the entry.
Judging criteria: Character, taste, appearance, aroma and drinkability or eating quality - alongside evidence of genuine innovation, sustainability credentials, market relevance and the strength of the product concept.
