Kent Ready Meal or Prepared Food Product of the Year

Who should enter? Producers, manufacturers and processors of ready meals and prepared food products made in Kent. This includes meat, fish, vegetable or dessert-based meals that are ready to cook or ready to serve, and packaged with ingredients and serving instructions. If you've done the hard work so the customer doesn't have to, this is your category.

How will this category be judged? Every entry is blind taste tested by a panel of expert judges drawn from across the food and drink sector, including chefs, buyers and food writers - and every entrant receives feedback from the panel.

How much does it cost to enter? Entry fees are £30 plus VAT for Produced in Kent members and £50 plus VAT for non-members.

Judging criteria: Appearance, use of locally sourced ingredients, texture, taste, innovation, ease of use and relevance to market.
