We always get lovely feedback about our homemade cakes at The Cavendish, so here is an easy Rocky Road recipe for you to try at home!

Ingredients and Method:

• Use an 8-inch square tin and line your tin with parchment.

• Then smash up all your favourite biscuits into chunks (300g worth).

• Throw in some marshmallows or sweets, whatever you like - popcorn, honeycomb, Maltesers all also work well!

• Take a bowl and add in 150g margarine or butter, 4 tbsp of golden syrup and 400g of milk, dark or white chocolate - whatever you prefer!

• Melt either in the microwave (in 30-second bursts) or over a pan of hot water.

• Stir in your biscuits so that everything is completely covered. Press it into the tin and leave in the fridge to set for at least two hours.

• Cut up and enjoy with a cuppa and friends!
